A local crew that works the trees Sacramento actually grows.
The name is the area code — and that's the point. 916 Trees is a Sacramento operation built around the trees that grow here: valley oaks and interior live oaks, the heat-stressed ash and sycamore lining older streets, Mexican fan palms in the flats, and the oak-and-pine country once you climb into the foothills.
We do the climbing, cutting, rigging, grinding, and cleanup ourselves. That means the person who scopes your job is the same kind of person who does it — so the estimate matches the work, and nothing gets promised that the crew can't deliver.
We're not the outfit that pressures you into taking down a healthy shade tree. If a tree can be saved with the right cuts at the right time of year, we'll tell you. If it's a genuine hazard, we'll tell you that too — and then we'll take it down safely.

Equipment
The right tool for the tree — and the access.
A backyard tree over a two-story roof and a street tree with clear drop space are two different jobs. We bring equipment sized to the tree and the property, not whatever happens to be on the truck.
Climbing & rigging
Ropes, saddles, and rigging to take a tree apart piece by piece when a yard is too tight to drop it whole — the difference between a clean removal and a broken fence.
Bucket & aerial access
Aerial access for trimming and deadwooding high canopy on street trees and large yard trees without spiking a tree we're trying to keep healthy.
Chippers & grinders
Chippers to turn brush and limbs into haulable chips on site, and stump grinders to take stumps below grade so the removal is actually finished.
Crane-assisted when it's called for
For big, hazardous, or awkward-access removals, a crane lifts the weight out cleanly instead of dragging it across the property. We bring it in when the tree earns it.
Look at the tree, not a template
Species, lean, targets underneath, soil, access, and the health of the tree all change the job. We scope from the actual property, not a flat per-tree price.
Tell you what it actually needs
Sometimes that's a full removal. Sometimes it's a light thin and a return visit in two years. We'd rather keep a healthy tree standing than sell you a job you don't need.
Do the work clean
Protect the access, drop the weight where we plan to, grind the stump if it's in scope, and rake the site down before we leave. You get your yard back.
